The Popular Show Season Four Unveils the Soldiers Party

Ever since the premiere of Campaign 4, recently appointed game master the talented storyteller has kept fans guessing with extensive world-building, a diverse cast of personalities, and a gripping narrative showcasing divine entities, fiends, and malevolent powers expanding in power within Dol-Makjar.

Warning: Spoilers for the third episode of this adventure follow below.

The Combat-Oriented Party Introduced

Episode 3 finished on a major cliffhanger and presented the initial group of adventurers who will separate from the primary party to embark on their independent quest, separate from the other two tables.

This warrior group consists of Teor (portrayed by the voice actor), Thimble (the talented performer), the strong-willed figure (the cast member), Wicander (the player), and the mysterious adventurer (the actor).

Dividing the Cast

Considering an extensive roster, it was obvious from the start that having everyone at a single group would be unfeasible.

Hence, the first four episodes of the new season serve as an Prelude, weaving together the personal journeys before dividing into three separate parties: Warriors, Strategists, and Seekers.

What Defines the Soldiers Table

Per Brennan Lee Mulligan, the combat-focused party is for adventurers who are drawn to a typically action-packed fight-heavy story mode where peaceful solutions are few and far between.

Upon first impression, characters like the squeamish cleric Wicander might seem out of place, but the developments of the latest installment show why these particular heroes are best suited for the Soldiers table.

Why They Must Go

For one thing, the party has a clear idea where to proceed after a violent initial meeting with the enemy group.

An old friend of Thjazi Fang—whose passing initiated the campaign’s events—used the enemy for his selfish purposes, entering Thjazi’s hideout, attacking the rogue, and taking all the powerful objects to sell off.

The traitor then cleared his obligations and fled to a fortified location in Gormalay, Timmony, north of the city, with Teor’s brother hot on his heels.

Character Drivers

Secondly, each adventurer has a individual motive to exit the urban setting:

  • Thimble, as the companion and best friend, wants revenge.
  • Kattigan is familiar with Timmony and advises that it is a dangerous environment.
  • The strong character and The cleric, having disobeyed his house’s orders to kill the fighter and instead rescued him, have no safe haven.
  • But, their reputation as prominent individuals in House Halovar could enable the group reach places they normally couldn’t.
  • Furthermore, The grateful character swore a unbreakable promise to The savior for his salvation and will now follow him wherever.

Fugitives

In addition, all of them are hunted by the powers that control the city for a variety of reasons, making lingering locally too risky:

  • The agile adventurer and Kattigan are recognized lawbreakers.
  • Tyranny and Wicander defied House Halovar and the legion of demons they are aligned with.
  • The fighter is targeted for elimination by the family.

This leaves them few options but to travel to Timmony in quest for the antagonist.

Upcoming Developments

From the recent installment’s Cooldown, we find out that the warrior group won’t be around the following episode, leaving the rest of the cast members to round up the Questers and Planners tables.

Audiences can look forward to finding out which adventurers will be where in the season’s final introductory chapter, streaming live on next week.
